I own a 1993 GS300 and let me tell you it is one fine car, all the wire
fittings are gold, and the engine is the best i have ever seen in a car of this
magnitude. It has 148,009 miles on it as of today, and the only thing that i
have replaced is the spark plug wires..not bad..That car has the best
aerodynamics i have ever seen..the drag coefficient is awesome..
Lexus makes a fine car, and i will own more in the future.

I bought my ’93 GS300 when it was 3 months old with 5700KM on the clock.
This has been a wonderful car, only minor problems. It currently has 169,000
KM. At the time of purchase I was a little concerned about a rear wheel
drive in the snow, but the traction control and a little common sense have
been sufficient to get by with all season tires in the Toronto winters.
I had an air conditioning failure during the second summer, and alternator
after five years, both dealt with under warranty. When the dealer repaired
the AC, they took a photo of the (I think) condensing tube, that had
corroded due to road salt, and sent that back to Lexus Canada, to send on to
the OEM manufacturer to investigate. Sometimes customer satisfaction is
higher after a failure, than if nothing had ever happened. The Lexus/Toyota
quest to build an ever product was hereby demonstrated. I was impressed.
Recently I replaced a couple of cooling system hoses, that have aged due to
heat. Other than that just regular consumable items (tires, brakes).
I usually trade in my cars after four years, but this car has been so good,
I still have no plans after 7.5 years to do so. I have been so pleased,
when I finally do have to change, I will buy a lightly used LS, as I now
know that a three or four year old Lexus is just getting broken in!
