I need to replace the hood struts on my 92 LS. I keep reading that a strut
from Might-Lift can be modified to work, but I can’t find them anywhere. Any
advice?

Just drove the 470 tonite. Nicely done. However, I would like to strongly
urge you to change the rear cargo door from a swing out to a lift up with an
operational window. Please refer to the 4Runner for details.

I live in Chicago, opening that door in a tight parking situation will be
nearly impossible. If it’s raining or snowing, it’s nice to have that big
door overhead for shelter.

Is there anyone else out there that prefers cloth seats?

I don’t like leather seats.  They’re stiff, hot in the summer heat,
and COLD in winter (’til they warm up).

I sure wish Lexus would offer them as an option.  I’d even pay EXTRA
to have good quality cloth seats.

Just bought a 2000 one and no manuals.  Anyone out there know where I can
purchase one.  Ebay does not have it.

I do not have a manual yet for the 2000 Lexus and was wondering if anyone
could tell me how to lock in the bright lights.  You have to hold in lever
for it to work.  Also how do you program the built in garage opener to get
it to work with your garage.

I have a 93 LS 400 that is showing signs of instrument cluster failure that
I have heard is somewhat common.  The backlight and guages at a cold start
don’t come on for about 5 minutes or so, then flicker a little, then come on
and seem to stay on until the next cold start.  Then the routine starts over
again.  I would normally suspect cold solder joints, etc if not for other
postings I have seen with the same problem.

My question:  Is there any fix for this beyond replacement of the whole
instrument cluster?  I noted that ebay has a listing for the circuit board
that supposedly is the culprit–is this replaceable versus the entire
assembly?  TIA for any suggestions or guidance.

Just installed a tow hitch on a 2000 RX300 4WD w/LCD display.   Can
anyone tell me where/how does one connect  a light wiring harness to
operate the trailer brake and turn signals?  I understand that tapping
into the tailight wires is not recommended as changes in resistance
will play havoc with fancy electronics on the RX.  I assume there is a
place to plug in a harness since a tow hitch is a dealer option.
Where is that place?  Any help will be greatly appreciated. TIA
