Hey, my RX300 has been acting up in the cold.  I turn it on and it turns
right back off unless I hold the gas pedal down.  Sometimes it will start
right up, others I have to do it a couple times.  Is that my starter?

Hi. Looking to purchase a used Lexus RX300 for my wife. Hoping that
someone in the know could summarize the primary differences between
model years. Obviously the cheapest would be the oldest, 1999 I
think. But if, for example, drastic improvements in reliability were
made in 2000, I would want to consider this. Can anyone help? TIA.

When the cel P0171 came on I took it to the shop, they cleaned the MAF
sensos they cleared the codes drove it and the CEL came back on with P0171
code then they replaced the MAF cleaded the codes drove it CEL back on. The
car runs great no problems. Shop says its probably not the o2 sensor. Any
one have any idea’s on what keeps causing the CEL to come on with P0171
code?? HELP!

I own a GS300 since 1999 (50.000 miles), and the  car has been the best I
have ever had. I am looking for a second hand model in good condition, and I
found one today with  100.000 miles on the odometer. Since my brother is
buying the car on the strength of my advice, I don´t want to look like a
fool buying a  high mileage car  prone to problems.. Has anyone out there
driven a GS300 well over 100.000 miles’?. I know Lexus builds tough cars,
but any reassurance that I am doing the right thing would be appreciated.

I’m trying to plan ahead and develop a new car strategy and so would
like to know which model year a new LS430, or its equivalent, is
expected to be sold in the USA.

I need a solenoid valve for my LS400 transmission. The valve is described as
the #2 solenoid valve. If anyone has a scrap transmission that they would

The NYC suburban area is experiencing rampant thefts of RX300/330 xenon
headlamps — like HUNDREDS.

Anyone else around the country experiencing this problem?

The goal is is to make Lexus re-design the headlamp/balllast assembly to
make theft more difficult — or to offer an after-makrket fix.

Any stories appreciated
