I just bought a 98 Lexus ES300, with a radio head unit that will
interface with the CD changer, but there is no CD changer. The radio
head unit has "Premium Lexus Sound", along with a CD button, and the
"Compact Disc" emblem.
How can I hook up the aftermarket changer in the trunk for under $500?
My issues thus far:
1. I have not found a connector made to hook the radio to an
aftermarket changer
2. I have heard it is already pre-wired for the glovebox
3. I have been told many times this is not possible.
Please help, I am actually thinking of getting an FM Modulated player!
Maybe you could find one from a wrecker. I have to imagine somebody has
totalled an ES by now!
Try an internet search, I think some auto recyclers are online.

I know of some wreckers, but I was trying to find out if someone knew
of the "secret adapter", the adapter that will hook up an aftermarket
changer with the radio unit in the car.
