This sounds a silly question I know, but….
I’ve just got an IS200 SE (and love it!) in the UK. The spec sheets say it
comes with an 8 speaker stereo, but I’m damned if I can find more than 6!
There are two on the parcel shelf, two more in the front doors, and two
tweeters in the front door posts. Where the hell are the other two supposed
to be?
It is a 2001 model -brand new, 3 weeks old.

speakers on the rear passenger doors?

Not that I can see/hear.
Just racked up my 1200 miles run in. Absolutely fantastic now…
Still looking for 2 speakers….

The rear speakers are not a standard 6×9 speaker. They are actually 2
speakers that are attached to each other. I replaced the factory stereo in
my IS and found this out after removing the rear speakers. There is
actually two sets of wire inputs going to each speaker. One is for bass and
the other is for highs and vocals. So… 2 door speakers in front, 2
tweeters, 2 bass speakers in rear, and 2 midrange speakers attached to bass
speakers in rear. The 8 speaker statement is very misleading…
