It's a great car. No noise yet on my IS300. Lexus will come out with new
ES300 for 2002. If you like luxury, comfy cars, IS300 is not for you. If
you like low riding sports car kinda car, you have it. IS300 will also
come with a manual shift in 2002.

Good Luck!

MJ
Dunko <Du...@sympatico.ca> wrote in message

news:57ZK6.12241$h%.2396294@news20.bellglobal.com...

- Hide quoted text -- Show quoted text -

> My IS300 works wonderfully with no problems at all!! Regarding the
> suspension, absolutely no squeaks or any kind of noise at all. Overall in
> perfect condition and no complaints except...the suspension can be a bit
> rough when going over rough bumps such as train tracks and such. You
> basically can feel everything. So a transition from a Lexus luxury
(smooth
> comfy, silky ride) to a sports (getting to know the road better), you will
> feel the difference. And one last thing that I have noticed...there is
> quite a bit of road noise. Possibly due because its so quiet??

> -Dunko

I had a buzz in my IS200 just after I took delivery of it. I tracked it down
to the screw in the driver's door at the bottom of the hole you put your
hand in to close the door from the inside (what's the technical term for
that??) not being tightened properly. A few turns with a screwdriver soon
sorted that out.

Cheers,
James

mike y <n...@tes.com> wrote in message

news:AHyK6.3762$8x4.357776@newsread2.prod.itd.earthlink.net...

- Hide quoted text -- Show quoted text -
> No issues in regards to performace, however I have some issues with an
> annoying dash rattle, sounds like a screw or pebble is stuck in there
> somewhere. There is also an occassional buzzing sound emanating from the
> back somewhere, which is difficult to pinpoint.
