Vibration

Does anyone experience vibration / drumming (proably transmitted along the
prop shaft) only in 6th gear between 65 & 80 mph. with the IS 200.?

I can’t tell you how many miles you will get from your GS300, but if
it’s actually worth more than the lease-end buyout price, this means
you have equity in the car than belongs to you. So, even if you don’t
buy it, use it as trade (assuming the dealer gives you what it’s
worth) on another car. By the way, Kelley Blue Book values are widely
considered to be unrealistically high. Edmunds (www.edmunds.com)
values are generally considered to be more accurate.

    Good luck.

My GS300 has 187,000 miles on it, and still going strong & quiet. I
have oil changed every 6K mile, tune up every 30K, and major tune up
    every 90K.
No problem whatsoever so far with the engine & transmission. The
battery was replaced twice, shock was changed at 140,000 miles, timing
belt & water pump at 110,000 miles. Add Restore Engine every 12,000
    miles since 100,000 miles.
I am not sure my tune up, oil change interval, maintenance & add-on
was proper, nevertheless, it helps keeping my car running well so far.
It still as quiet as the day I got it from the dealer lot. Even my
mechanic was a bit suprise to see the car still running strong &
smooth. My avg MPG is around 21-23. A/C is ice-cold.
I once owned a Benz 300E, reliable car, but not as good as Lexus.
Start having oil-burn & leak at around 170K. A/C suck, transmission
wasn’t very smooth. Stable at highway speed, but lot of wind noise.
Have to have engine rebuilt at around 220K, after that, it ran like a
Hyndai. I finally sold it at 235K miles.
I traded in my BMW 528 two months ago, when the car got 98K miles.
I can’t handle the cost of maintenance & repair any more (and time !).
It has so many problem. Would never touch a bimmer again.

As long as I can can afford it, I would only buy Lexus & toyota
    products. Worth every penny.
If I was you, I put down 22K and keep the car. You can buy a used
320E or Bimmer 3 series. But those cars probably cost as much to
operate & run in the next four years. The GS should not cost more than
    1/3 of that.
