Hey, my RX300 has been acting up in the cold. I turn it on and it turns
right back off unless I hold the gas pedal down. Sometimes it will start
right up, others I have to do it a couple times. Is that my starter?

Nope.
If the problem were in the starter the engine wouldn’t start – at all.
The problem is in the engine’s cold start sub-system.
Take it to the shop and describe its symptoms.
